Discovery sources
The worldwide index figure refers to more than 120 million patent publications, including applications and grants, indexed by our current discovery source, Google Patents. It is not PatentOracle’s stored corpus or a promise that every publication can be retrieved. Current editions cover US publications with English-language discovery. We confirm scope, available sources and coverage gaps for each request.
The work you commission
Your request starts with a topic, company or inventor, with optional exact phrases and an explicit all-or-any condition. US publications and English-language discovery are the current defaults. Dates are optional. Discovery establishes the available scope; you then review a fixed quote, coverage limitations and estimated delivery window. No report starts solely because you buy credits.
Your research edition
The core edition includes keyword passages in context, a descriptive publication index, an Oracle Overview, a technical map and links to available sources. The reading PDF may use a documented selection of passages across qualifying publications. The accompanying evidence library preserves the recorded occurrences and available originals. The quotation defines any additional comparisons or work.
Packages and original PDFs
Focused: from $99, up to 250 original patent PDFs; Research: from $249, up to 2,000 original patent PDFs; Extended: from $499, up to 5,000 original patent PDFs; Portfolio: custom quote, up to 25,000 original patent PDFs. Prices are starting points in USD; Portfolio is individually quoted. One publication’s original and highlighted copy count once. We confirm the scope, available originals, fixed price and delivery estimate before purchase. Every package includes a report, searchable evidence library, and individual, selected or full downloads without per-patent export fees.
Coverage and timing
The current operating ceilings are 25,000 selected publications and 2,000 reading-PDF pages. They are not included result counts or a promise of exhaustive coverage. Source restrictions, unavailable originals, OCR and review can affect delivery. We show limitations and pauses in your workspace. Material changes to scope, price or delivery estimates require your agreement.
Credits, cancellation and delivery issues
Prices are in US dollars. One research credit represents US$1; test credits have no cash value and cannot fund production. You approve the exact quote before credits are spent. Cancelling paid work before collection starts returns its credits to your account. Once collection starts, contact the research team for a review. We will correct material delivery defects or agree a refund for work we cannot deliver. Ask from your workspace about an unused-credit refund or any payment issue; a card refund and an account credit adjustment are different events.
Reading the evidence
A phrase appearing in a patent does not itself establish that a claim requires it, that an invention works or that a commercial product uses it. AI interpretation is a reading aid, with evidence references for checking it. PatentOracle does not provide a legal opinion on patent validity, infringement or freedom to operate.
Your account and research information
We store account credentials in protected forms, verified email addresses, research requests, evidence, order records and support messages to operate the service. Stripe handles card details; our application does not store card numbers. Postmark delivers access codes and research updates. Relevant research questions and patent passages are sent to OpenAI when Oracle interpretation is requested. Project credentials remain on the server and are encrypted at rest.
Source access and downloads
New quotes include two years of source hosting and five years for the report and index, starting at delivery. Full and selected downloads are included and remain readable permanently. Optional renewal is quoted before purchase, with no automatic charges. Reminder, grace and recovery periods are explained on the source-access page. Existing accepted orders and published samples keep their original terms.
Access and sharing
Account cookies keep you signed in and identify your workspace. Owner access requires a password. We do not use email open or link tracking. New hosted reports begin with private source links; the owner can enable report-scoped sharing. Existing grants retain their original terms. It does not grant access to your account, payment information or Oracle credentials. Keep account recovery codes and private setup links to yourself.
Questions, corrections or deletion
Use “Talk to the research team” in your workspace for a scope question, delivery issue, cancellation, payment concern, correction or data deletion request. We review requests against the research and transaction records. Some records may need to be retained to resolve an active order or meet applicable recordkeeping obligations; we will explain any limitation when handling the request.
